Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3: Revenge or Comeback

The Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3 will begin in a few hours and everyone is ecstatic. Fans of the Cavaliers are not losing hope and holding on to the thought that their favorite NBA team will rise as the victors in this finals just like how they did it last 2016.  Just the same the Warriors are ready to sweep the Cavs again like how they did it in Game 1 and 2. They are all in form to take revenge and win the championship this year.

It can be recalled that the Cavaliers were trailing 2-0 in the beginning of the 2016 NBA Finals but later on the team manage to win and made history with 3-1. Many sports fanatics are hoping that the former champions can do the trick again since they are in the same hole they were in last year. But unfortunately, the games were being tagged as a mismatch already with the Cavs poor performance.

The Thorns

A lot of Cleveland Cavaliers die hard fans are simply shrugging their shoulders off.  Been there, done that. They find it too early to panic since the Cavs was able to come back easily last season. But things are different now, Kevin Durant‘s inclusion in the Golden State Warriors roster is giving them a terrible headache. Stephen Curry is also at his best form and the rest of their team are making goals. They are winning because of their 3-pointers.

Build up for the crown

The Warriors promised they will never lose ever again against the Cleveland Cavaliers after losing the title to them in their last championship game. So what did they do to make sure it will never happen again? Aside from getting Durant, they added younger, faster and experienced players. They even released injury-prone Andrew Bogut. This proves that the game between the Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers is a battle that the Warriors is prepared to win.

What needs to be done?

All the plans used last year after trailing 3 – 1 in the series needs to be thrown away. They are all outdated now. Before you have only Steph Curry to think about.  This year, there is a Kevin Durant who could do so much damage the Cavs didn’t expect. This time fresh plans need to be drawn.

Fast switching defense can be a key. Rotating defense on Kevin Durant and Steph Curry would have been a good start. Players guarding these two have only one role, stop them at all cost. James, Irving, and Love might be able to prevent these two from getting more scores fro the Warriors. And yes, they can only hope that Klay Thompson and Draymond Green do not fill the holes the Cavs tried to cover.

Also, J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson and Imam Shumpert must contribute if they badly want to win this championship.   These 3 persons were awfully silent during the last two game.  They were never a factor. They need to run faster and be fiercer. Take note that the Warriors half-court defense is the best in the league.

Bettor’s Opinion

Betting enthusiasts and analyst are unanimous in crowning the Golden State Warriors as the 2017 NBA Champions. Nobody seems to be bet on the Cavaliers. The best odds the Cavs have is winning two games this series, The championship will be decided in six games.  No need to guess who will come out on top.

Even most sports analysts have the same observation.  The Warriors have shown superiority over the Cavaliers. There’s no denying that in the Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3  many are already rooting for the Warriors to win. Now “will the Cavaliers let the Warriors win that easily?” or “will the Warriors crush the Cavaliers today?.”
